Cancun is a city in southeastern Mexico on the northeast coast of the Yucatán Peninsula in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. This place is conceder as very important place to visit in Mexico. The city is on the Caribbean Sea and is one of Mexico's easternmost points. In old English documents the name of this city is spelled as Cancoon to keep its originality. This city was found in 20 April 1970. This place has the area of 1978.75 km2.
The Cancun Underwater Museum or we can also say it Museo Subacuático de Arte (MUSA) is an non-profit organization. The museum has a total number of 500 sculptures; most by of them are created by British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor and the others by five Mexican sculptors. This museum is deep in ocean. This museum was officially opened on 27 November 2010.
This park is privately owned theme park, resort and natural place. It is part of Xcaret Experiencias Group which also owns the Xplor Park, Xel-Ha Park, and Xenses Park; as well as the Xichen, Xenotes, and Xoximilco tours and activities. This place was opened in 1991 and the total area of this place is 200 acres. And from 2010 to 2015 it becomes one of the most recognized company.
Isla Contoy is a very small island in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. The island is only 8.5 km in length and has an area of 3.17 km2. Since 1961, Isla Contoy is protected by the Mexican government and was declared a national park in February 1998. Only a few tour companies have permission to bring the only at maximum 200 daily visitors to Isla Contoy. Visitors need to apply for permission to visit the island at the park offices in Isla Mujeres or Cancún.
